TMC Clients and Families,
As we approach 16 months of the global pandemic, we want to remind our clients of adjustments that TMC has made to keep our clients and staff safe as well as give some welcomed updates.
-In response to requests from our clients and staff, as of July 9th, we are thrilled to return to family-centered care. This means that there will be no limit to the number of visitors who accompany clients to office visits or for labor and birth. We continue to require mask wearing for all visitors and clients, with an exception for clients who are laboring. Support people will be required to mask when with a laboring client.
-As is the recommendation of the CDC, TMC encourages all clients and visitors to receive the Covid-19 vaccine. If you need help accessing a vaccine, please contact our providers or our front office.
-We continue to offer telehealth visits. Although all visits may be completed in person, clients still may choose a telehealth option.
-TMC midwives are not attending hospital deliveries. TMC continues to have valuable relationships with the midwives at Jefferson Hospital, UPMC Magee and physicians at West Penn, Jefferson Hospital and UPMC Magee Hospital.
-Friday gynecology visits continue to be same-day, call ahead visits instead of walk-in visits.
-Orientation and prenatal classes will remain virtual for the foreseeable future.
-TMC nurses will continue to see clients for their immediate postpartum visit at TMC and not in their homes.
Please continue to look for updates and follow up with any questions you may have about policy changes!
