Class location
TMC classes are held in-person at The Midwife Center or via Zoom. Please submit the Class Registration Form or contact our front office to register for classes (other than Orientation) by calling 412-321-6880. If you are already registered, you will be sent information and do not need to call.
Registration
Core Classes
If you are a client at The Midwife Center, to register for Core Classes (Childbearing Essentials, Childbirth Refresher, Birthing from Within, Breastfeeding, and Newborn Care) please use our Class Registration Form. Please register no later than seven days before the start of the class. Our classes often fill up, so please register early. Payment for the class is due when you register. For qualifying individuals, scholarship funds are available to assist with the cost of classes (learn more below).

Refund policy for Core Classes
The Midwife Center agrees to submit refunds for class payment if we are given at least three days notice of the cancellation. Cancellations due to emergencies, illness, or early delivery are always eligible for refunds.
If you're not a client and want to take a Core Class
Class curriculums are geared to out-of-hospital birth at our birth center. If you are not a client of The Midwife Center, you may register for our classes one week in advance if there are extra spots. Please call our Front Office no more than one week prior to the class you would like to register for.
Core Class scholarships
We can offer scholarships for Core Classes to both clients and non-clients who meet income/family size requirements. Please contact our front office at 412.321.6880 to find out if you are eligible for a scholarship.
Core Class Bundle pricing
The Class Bundle includes the following Core Classes: Childbearing Essentials, Breastfeeding, and Newborn Care classes. Taken together as part of a Class Bundle we can offer our clients a discount. We’re sorry, we cannot offer bundle pricing to non-clients.
