Dezirey Hayden

Dezirey fell in love with birth work at 14 years old when she was a support person for her mom during the labor and birth of her baby brother. She has been a nurse for 10 years, and a labor nurse for 5 years. Her favorite thing about her work is the privilege to assist in turning an intensely vulnerable experience into an empowering one for a birthing person. Dezirey currently works full time with West Penn hospital in addition to being a birth assistant at The Midwife Center. She has lived in Pittsburgh since birth, and currently lives in West View with her spouse and their two children.
