Gabrielle grew up in the small, central Pennsylvania town of Lewistown. She obtained her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from The Pennsylvania State University, graduating in May of 2020. After graduation, Gabrielle moved to Pittsburgh and began her nursing career at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. There, she worked in a medical step-down setting, primarily working in the treatment of patients with COVID-19. Her next move was to Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC, pursuing a lifetime goal of working in labor and delivery. During her time at Magee, Gabrielle had the privilege of working with incredible midwives, which ultimately inspired her transfer to TMC.
Gabrielle is passionate about the empowerment of birthing patients through education and the client-centered, intuitive nature of the midwifery model of care. With plans to pursue nurse midwifery study, Gabrielle cannot see herself working in any other setting of healthcare. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, camping, and live music.
