Kandis Mason started her journey with The Midwife Center during her pregnancy. She was overjoyed with the breastfeeding support, prenatal, postpartum, and gynecological care she received from the midwives. Kandis's passion for the mission and services of The Midwife Center led her to join its team as Community Engagement Coordinator. In this role, Kandis represents The Midwife Center at community events and meetings, coordinates education and mentoring activities, and connects Midwife Center clients to helpful resources in the area.
Prior to joining The Midwife Center, Kandis worked as the Nutrition Services Assistant at WIC where she provided nutrition and breastfeeding education for pregnant and postpartum women, referrals, and engaged in community outreach. She has also worked for UPMC as a CMS grant administrator and nursing assistant. She has a Graduate Certificate from the State University of New York and a Bachelor of Science from Temple University in Public Health.
