Rachel has been working at The Midwife Center since 2009. She loves the friendly, home-like, and client-centered atmosphere of the birth center. Rachel primarily develops and coordinates fundraising campaigns, including the Transformation, Metamophosis, Change campaign (2014-2017) to expand the center and The Midwife Center's annual campaign. She also manages many aspects of The Midwife Center's communications and coordinates special events like Let Them Eat Cake, The Midwife Center's annual fundraiser party and cake contest.
Rachel previously served on the Board of Commissioners of the Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers (CABC), where she helped to provide support, education, and accreditation to developing and established birth centers across the country.
Rachel graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Nonfiction Writing. In addition to her passion for reproductive justice and birth center advocacy, she enjoys riding her bike, dancing, cooking, and playing music with friends.
