Shannon Gerst

Shannon received her nursing degree from UPMC St. Margaret School of Nursing in 2006. She began her nursing career in a busy high risk labor and delivery unit, where she worked for seven years. She then decided to follow her passion for assisting women with natural childbirth and found herself at The Midwife Center in 2012.

Shannon believes there is no greater sense of accomplishment than being able to assist a family in welcoming their baby into the world. Shannon was born and raised in Pittsburgh. She resides at home with her husband Bill and their five children – Connor, Camryn, Liam, Emersyn and Eden.
