Tahel began their healthcare journey as a Paramedic outside the city of Pittsburgh in 2016. After getting to assist with a healthy birth on the ambulance, they were motivated to work in obstetrics and went on to become a nurse in 2020.

They are honored to be working at The Midwife Center, learning every day from their coworkers and clients alike. Tahel is passionate about bodily autonomy and building a collaborative and nurturing environment. Tahel is transgender and loves to have conversations about making the reproductive care and birth world a safe and empowering place for queer and trans people.

Tahel also loves to spend as much time outside as possible, hiking, swimming, biking, and picnicking with friends. Tahel grew up in Chicago but has been falling in love with Pittsburgh’s rivers and forests for over 10 years.
