The Midwife Center would like to share an important message with our clients and community:
On January 9, 2019, The Midwife Center learned of UPMC Mercy’s plans to close their Labor and Delivery unit as of March 8, 2019. TMC wants to reassure clients that there will be no interruption in birth center or hospital care. In TMC’s 36-year history, hospital affiliation changes have occurred several times and we are grateful for the supportive and welcoming nature of the Pittsburgh hospital community. Details about the new hospital affiliation will be shared as soon as they are finalized.
