Meet our new Nurse Practitioner Students

If you have an appointment at The Midwife Center this spring or summer, you may get to meet one of our Student Nurse Pracitioner students, Emily and Morgan. We are pleased to welcome them to The Midwife Center.

Emily Rohrer, BSN, RN, SNP

Emily is a Nurse Practitioner student studying Women's Health with Dana Bloomburg, MSN, CRNP this summer. She completed her BSN at the University of Pittsburgh in 2015 and works as a nurse in Bone Marrow Transplant at UPMC Shadyside. Emily is currently following the Family Nurse Practitioner track at Robert Morris University with plans to graduate in Spring 2020. At that time, she intends to specialize in Women's Health/OBGYN emphasizing in mental wellness and client-centered preventative care.

Outside of nursing, Emily practices yoga and end enjoys backpacking and travel.

Morgan Cole, BSN, RN, SNP (right)

Morgan is a Family Nurse Practitioner student who will be spending the next month with Emily, Jatolloa, Theresa and Dana. Morgan earned her BSN through Ohio University in December of 2015. She is currently studying at Frontier Nursing University with an expected graduation date of October 20, 2018. She is employed at Children’s Hospital in the pediatric intensive care unit.

Morgan has been in healthcare since 2000 with an early career as a firefighter and paramedic and spent the first 10 years of her nursing career in various emergency departments from Anchorage, Alaska to Greenville, North Carolina. She plans to work for Planned Parenthood as the care they provide is what she is passionate about. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her husband Carl and sons Hatcher, 4, and Elias, 1.
